Azsamand Aziz (2005 to 2010)

In AzSamand (proper spelling: AzSamand ) is one founded in October 2005, automakers with headquarters in Azerbaijani Şamaxı . The company is a subsidiary of the Evsen group of companies. The project to manufacture automobiles in-house was initiated by Azerbaijani President İlham Əliyev . This led to negotiations with Evsen and Iran Khodro . The maximum annual capacity of the Azsamand is 7,000 units. Around 1200 people are employed in the plant. The Export Development Bank of Iran invested in the constructiona sum amounting to 150 million US dollars . The management of the plant is subordinate to the director Oqtay Nevbiyev .

In addition to the assembly of the Azsamand Aziz , the production of body parts and diesel engines has also taken place since 2010 . The registered but not yet used brand name Aziz stands for Azərbaycan inamla zirvələrə , which means something like Azerbaijani sovereignty at the top .

In 2007, the assembly of the Peugeot LX started in Badge Engineering . The successor Azsamand LX was presented at the Azerbaijan auto show in Baku . Since 2010, the range has been completed with the IKCo Sarir , which in Azerbaijan, however, has the modern look of the Soren.
