Béla Szőkefalvi Nagy Medal
In memory of Béla Szőkefalvi-Nagy, the Bolyai Institute of the University of Sciences in Szeged has been awarding the Béla Szőkefalvi-Nagy Medal for outstanding work published in Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum since 2000 . Szőkefalvi-Nagy was the main editor of Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum from 1946 to 1981 . His daughter Erzsébet Szőkefalvi-Nagy donated the medal in 1999.
The medal is made of silver and has a diameter of 42.5 millimeters. It bears a portrait of Béla Szőkefalvi-Nagy on the front and the name of the winner on the back, framed by the words 'Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum'.
