Luxembourg Stock Exchange
The Luxembourg Stock Exchange is a securities exchange based in Luxembourg .
The stock exchange is located on Boulevard Joseph II .
The stock exchange was founded on January 30, 1927 by the passing of a law by the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies (Parliament). On March 22, 1928, a grand ducal decree was issued with the implementation provisions of the law.
The Bourse de Luxembourg stock corporation was founded on April 5, 1928, with a capital of 7,000 shares at an issue price of CHF 1,000 .
The seat was at number 11 on avenue de la Porte-Neuve in the upper town of Luxembourg .
On February 1, 1929, the first list of banks, bankers and bill dealers who were approved for trading on the stock exchange was published.
On April 27, 1929, the list of securities (stocks and bonds ) that are traded on the stock exchange was published.
The first day of trading on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange was May 6, 1929.
In January 2014 the stock exchange moved to a new building at number 35A on Boulevard Joseph II.
In November 2000 the exchange entered into a collaboration with Euronext . The current chairman of the stock exchange is Frank Wagener . The main share index is the LuxX Index .
