The house on Bürgermeisterstraße 16 is a listed building in the Lutherstadt Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the northern part of the old town of Lutherstadt Wittenberg on the east side of Bürgermeisterstraße.
Architecture and history
The three-storey house was built in 1792 in the late Baroque style. The building, reminiscent of a palace, served the scholar Johann Jakob Ebert as a residence, a plaque attached to the house reminds of this. There was a historical roof structure on top of the house in the form of a pavilion that was used as an observatory . This original structure was removed around 1937.
The building has a representative staircase. On the courtyard side there are two originally free-standing garden pavilions.
In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 35870 .
