Bürklin GmbH & Co. KG is an electronics retailer based in Oberhaching near Munich , which sells, among other things, passive and active electrical components such as connectors , cables and batteries , as well as devices such as power supplies as well as tools and aids in electrical engineering such as measuring devices .
history
The company was founded in 1954 by Hans Bürklin (1925–2020) in Munich as a "wholesaler and retailer of radio sets, spare parts and accessories". In 1995 the company was handed over to his sons Ralph and Achim Bürklin. Since 2000, internet sales have been added as a new supply and distribution channel. In 2011, the new location in Oberhaching opened (immediately south of Munich) before the year 2014/2015, the company was renamed company was done with the current name.
In addition to expanding the range to more than 1.5 million items, the focus in recent years has been on expanding the sales network to include countries such as Italy , France and the United Kingdom , as well as other countries in Scandinavia , Eastern Europe and the Middle East .
