history

Büsscher & Hoffmann GmbH was founded in 1852 by the builder Friedrich Wilhelm Büsscher, the royal building officer Friedrich Eduard Hoffmann and the engineer Busse with the construction of the first production site. In the years 1867 to 1926 factories were set up in Halle / S., Mainz, Regenstauf, Strasbourg, Teplitz and branches in Berlin, Munich, Metz, Königsberg, Danzig and Vienna, later also in Eberswalde (Brandenburg). In 1920 today's factory headquarters and what is now the only production facility in Enns were established . Around 17 million square meters of bitumen sheeting are produced here every year. In 1959 the company F. Joh. Kwizda (chemical factory, Vienna) took over the company.
