B-Funk Family

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

B-Funk Family is the title of an Austrian band project from Styria.

history

In 2000 the band achieved a high level of awareness, especially in Styria, with the song Hiatamadl , which can be found on a reworking of Wolfgang Ambros ' concept album Der Watzmann ruft - The Return of the Watzmann . Rudi Klausnitzer , the former Ö3 moderator and director of the United Theater in Vienna, is the initiator of the project . The song only reached 57th place in the Ö3 Austria Top 40 , but airplay from many radio stations, including Ö3 and FM4 , was added. Some of the band's members are already well-known musicians, such as Florian Randacher and Ernst Gottschmann from the band Ausseer Hardbradler . The singer Zabine also appeared on the first album. Stylistically, the band is strongly influenced by funk and reggae music.
