The bulk carrier type B.Delta37 of the Deltamarin design office was built in a large number of several Chinese shipyards.
details
The B.Delta37 series was designed by the Finnish shipbuilding company Deltamarin. The ships have been built by Chinese shipyards for various shipping companies since 2013.
The B.Delta37 ships are designed as Handymax bulk carriers with superstructures arranged aft . You have five holds , three of which are box-shaped. Each hold is served by its own hatch, the hatch covers of which are operated hydraulically. Four hydraulic ship cranes mounted amidships are available for cargo handling . The basic variant of the ship type has a cargo space of around 48,500 m³ and can transport around 35,000 tons at a draft draft of 9.5 m and approx. 39,500 tons with a maximum unloading of 10.5 m. A further developed variant of the design as an open multi-purpose bulk carrier with a greater degree of deck opening has slightly more cargo space with a comparable load capacity of around 50,300 m³. The units are designed for the transport of various bulk goods , such as grain, coal, minerals, including various dangerous goods. The tank roof of the cargo hold is reinforced for the transport of ore. In addition, bagged goods, steel profiles, tubes and other bulk cargo, as well as wood, can be transported on deck.
The ships are powered by a two - stroke diesel engine . The engine enables a speed of around 14 knots . Several auxiliary diesels and an emergency diesel generator are available.
