BC Schiller is an author duo from Austria , consisting of the married couple Barbara and Christian Schiller . The couple became known mainly in German-speaking countries for their psychological thrillers . They create their book publications as self-publications via the self-publishing platform CreateSpace.com and the associated Kindle Direct Publishing for e-books , of which an estimated 150,000 are purchased annually. They are only surpassed by self-publications by English-speaking authors, some of which even sell over 1 million copies. Meanwhile, according to Amazon.de, 250,000 e-books have been sold on Kindle alone .

Barbara Schiller worked as a marketing agent for companies in Eastern Europe. Their sometimes adventurous experiences in Eastern European and ex-Soviet countries serve as background information for the stories. She works as a dog trainer .
Christian Schiller published books and radio features about criminal writers like Jean Genet and William Burroughs . For these programs he interviewed the Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger, among others .
