The BA 21-28 were Tender - locomotives of Companhia dos Caminhos de Ferro de Beira Alta (BA), a Portuguese private company.
The eight machines were delivered by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik in 1881 . The spacious steam dome was on the first boiler section. The safety valves were installed above the standing tank in the driver's cab, which actually only consisted of a roof. The first drive axis was sanded from the sand dome located on the second boiler section.
The locomotives were given operating numbers 21–28 at the BA. After the nationalization of the BA in 1948, the four remaining vehicles of this series were classified as 24-27 of the Companhia dos Caminhos de Ferro de Portugueses (CP). All four were retired in 1950.
