BBC Radio Leicester is a broadcast program of the BBC for Leicester , Leicestershire and Rutland with studio in the center of Leicester. The program is broadcast terrestrially on FM and DAB as well as on the Internet worldwide. The program, first broadcast on November 8, 1967, was the first of a new type of local program designed by the BBC in the 1960s.
