The BC Sportlust Dresden was a German football club from Dresden . The club only appeared nationally for a short time in Central German football.
society
Sportlust Dresden was founded in 1900 and was one of the founding members of the Dresden Ball Game Association , along with the Dresdner SC 1898 and the Dresdner FC from 1893 . The three founding clubs played the first Dresden championship from March to September 1901, which BC Sportlust won.
Subsequently, the Saxons acted in the championship of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs . In the 1909/10 season, BC Sportlust broke through the dominance of the Dresdner Fußballring and the Dresdner SC in the Gau Dresden / East Saxony, and won the East Saxon championship. In the associated qualification for the Central German Championship, the Dresdeners reached the round of 16, in which they lost 2-0 to the favored FC Wacker Halle .
In the following years, sporting enthusiasm no longer played a role in Saxon football, and any participation in the Gauliga Sachsen did not take place. A re-establishment after 1945 was not carried out.
