The BGR firn field is a firn field in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Bowers Mountains , it is west of Mount Verhage .
Scientists of the German expedition GANOVEX I (1979–1980) made his name. It is named after the acronym for the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources .
