BKK Euregio
The BKK Euregio is a company health insurance fund that is open to all people who live or work in Hamburg or North Rhine-Westphalia. It is based in Heinsberg .
Contribution rates
In 2015, it was one of only two health insurance funds in Germany that did not raise an income-related additional contribution to the general contribution rate . From January 1, 2019, the income-related additional contribution will be 0.35% (2018: 0.58%).
history
Already in 1896 the health insurance for the factories of the companies Dr. Max Fremery & Co. and Vereinigte Glanzstoff-Fabriken Act.-Ges. founded. Entry was only possible for employees of the sponsoring company. On April 1, 1998, the cash register was initially opened to everyone in the North Rhine region (administrative districts of Cologne and Düsseldorf). The name was also changed to Akzo company health insurance fund. Later the opening for the Westphalia-Lippe region and the Hanseatic city of Hamburg took place. The last name was changed to BKK EUREGIO on July 1, 2003 .
