The BTC Business Technology Consulting AG (BTC) is one of the leading IT consulting company in Germany with offices in China , Japan , Poland , Romania , the Switzerland and Turkey . The company with more than 1,900 employees and headquarters in Oldenburg is a partner of SAP , Microsoft and AWS. In 2018, BTC achieved sales of EUR 207.3 million.

BTC has a holistic, industry-oriented IT consulting offering and thus a leading position in the areas of energy , telecommunications , public sector , industry and services . The offer includes consulting, system integration as well as application and system management. Another focus is on energy-related software products.

In 2000, the merger of the three companies UMC GmbH, CCC and NETplus GmbH resulted in BTC AG with around 150 employees.

In the following years, further company investments were acquired.

  • 2001: Convera GmbH, BCI GmbH and KT Management Beratung GmbH
  • 2002: January majority stake in APUS4 AG in Switzerland, April takeover of Optinet Solutions GmbH in Bremen, June acquisition of 25.18 percent in AOV GmbH in Gütersloh, December acquisition of 51 percent of AIL Heil & Partner GmbH in Würzburg
  • 2003: Takeover of AIL Heil & Partner GmbH, December takeover of pmc GmbH in Neckarsulm
  • 2004: May takeover of OSC-IM Systems AG, participation in OSC-ES AG, July status of SAP system house
  • 2005: June takeover of STS GmbH in Berlin, stake in ZTS Zakład Technik Systemowych w Energetyce Sp. Z oo, Poznan, Poland, August majority stake in Ekonum Is¸ Teknolojisi Yazılım Hizmetleri A. S¸., Istanbul, Turkey, majority stake in of AOV IT.Services GmbH in Gütersloh
  • 2007: Takeover of all shares in the e-commerce service provider hmmh multimediahaus AG from the Seekamp advertising group, Bremen, March Takeover of 100 percent of PRO CONSULT Management and Systemberatung AG in Münster, founded in 1995, and its subsidiary PRO CONSULT GmbH . November Takeover of BTC Embedded Systems AG as a majority stake.
  • 2009: On August 1, the System Management business unit was spun off into the wholly-owned subsidiary BTC IT Services GmbH .
  • 2014: In July, BTC separated from its wholly owned subsidiary hmmh multimediahaus AG and on December 31, 2014 from AOV IT.Services GmbH in Gütersloh.
  • 2018: On September 25, the consulting company best-blu consulting with energy GmbH from Salzgitter and the SAP service provider in the energy sector Selecta Energy Consulting GmbH from Kelkheim were taken over.

The company is also located in Switzerland (Zurich), Poland (Poznań), Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara), China (Shanghai), Romania (Timișoara, subsidiary of BTC Embedded Systems), France (Paris, Bureau de Liaison of BTC Embedded Systems) as well as in Japan (Tokyo, subsidiary of BTC Embedded Systems).
