history

The club was founded in the first days of August 1907 under the name Football Club Preußen 07 Langendreer . In the early days, they played as a so-called "Wilder Verein", which was not accepted into the West German Gaming Association. In 1910 the youth groups of the Langendreer Football Club 04 joined the FC Preußen, which then changed its name to Ballspiel Verein Langendreer 07 . This name has remained unchanged to this day. Regular gaming operations began in 1913.

BV Langendreer had its most successful period in the 1950s. In 1954 the club rose to the Landesliga Westfalen , the third highest German division at the time. In Group West they played against local rivals SV 04 , among others . After being able to hold the class as fourth in the first season, they missed qualifying for the newly founded Verbandsliga Westfalen in 1955/56 and finished fourth.
