Charalambos "Babis" Douloudis ( Greek Μπάμπης or Χαράλαμπος Δουλούδης , born June 28, 1981 in Göttingen , Germany ) is a former German - Greek basketball player with German citizenship.

career

The 1.88 m tall and 85 kg heavy construction player went through the youth section of his home club BG 74 Göttingen . There he gained basketball experience at the age of seven and was, among other things, German youth champion. After twelve years at BG, he first moved to the Cologne 99ers team in 2000, with whom he rose twice and then played with the team under the name RheinEnergie Cologne in the first basketball league . For private reasons, after a brief appearance in Rhöndorf (2001/02), he moved back to Göttingen. There he hardly got any match practice and moved to SG Braunschweig for two years and was a top performer in the 2nd Bundesliga. After these two years he went to USC Freiburg for one year in 2005 , but was brought back again by the BG 74 Göttingen before the 2006/2007 season. Douloudis scored on March 24, 2007 in the decisive game for promotion to the 1st Bundesliga against the Central German BC in the last second a three and thus secured Göttingen promotion.

In the 2008/09 season he played for UBC Hanover in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , scored 19 points on average and lived up to his old nickname Babis "Threeloudis", which he had received because of his strengths as a distance thrower.

Education

From 2006 to 2009 Babis Douloudis studied at the private University of Applied Sciences in Göttingen.
