Babolat is a French manufacturer of tennis , squash and badminton items .
history
The company was founded by Pierre Babolat in Lyon in 1875 and subsequently concentrated on the production of tennis strings made from natural gut. It was not until 1994 that the company began offering complete sets of clubs. Today Babolat is one of the leading manufacturers of tennis supplies worldwide.
Babolat is a sponsor of many tennis professionals, including the Spaniard Rafael Nadal .
Babolat has been the official partner of the French Open since 2011 and thus provides the balls for this tournament, among other things.
