Bachhausen (mountain)
Bachhausen is a district of the municipality of Berg in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg . The village lies on the Lüßbach , which flows into the Starnberger See .
history
The place name is Bavarian and means houses by the stream . Bachhausen was first mentioned in a document in 1167.
In 1648 the place was completely destroyed by the Swedes during the Thirty Years War . The Baroque Bachhausen Palace was also destroyed.
In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria , the community Bachhausen came from the dissolved district Wolfratshausen to the district of Starnberg and was incorporated on January 1, 1975 in the mountain community.
