Bad Volderwildbad

The Bad Volderwildbad property is located in the Voldertal , a small side valley of the Tyrolean Inn Valley in the Tux Alps , at an altitude of 1104 meters and is part of the municipality of Volders . It was operated as an "Alpengasthof, Bad und Pension" until it was closed.

The old settlement was a hunting stay for the Tyrolean sovereigns and was first mentioned in a document in 1463. Baron Damian Genger Built in 1625, a baroque chapel dedicated to the holy physicians Cosmas and Damian . The importance of Volderwildbad as a spa was extensively praised in a chronicle in 1756. At times it was also called "Bad Jungbrunnen". Maximilian I the last knight and the farmer leader Josef Speckbacher were among the famous guests. In 1919 the Volderwildbad guesthouse with sawmill and agriculture was taken over by Josef Fink .

The guests were accommodated and looked after in the Princely House and the Speckbacher House . The wooden houses on the property had 40 rooms with 50 beds. Fink's wife offered a varied cuisine with lots of fruit and vegetables in meat dishes and meatless dishes. The full board in 1960 was around 65 schillings. A library for guests and a laundry were available. Until the 1970s, the bathroom was operated without modern hotel technology with its sulfur and iron sources for cures against gout and rheumatism, stomach and nervous ailments. Spruce needle baths were also offered.
