Baden-Württemberg Translators' Days

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Baden-Württemberg Translators' Days are a series of events organized by the state of Baden-Württemberg that aim to bring literary translation closer to the general public .

They were initiated by the Circle of Friends for the Promotion of Literary and Scientific Translations , so that literary translators can present their work to the public in a series of events lasting several days. Since 1998 they have taken place within the framework of the state-wide literature promotion campaign “Places for Words”, and since 1999 every two years in various cities in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The translator days are organized by the respective city (cultural office) and the circle of friends for the promotion of literary and scientific translations.
