The bathing lake Tannenhausen is a quarry pond in the Aurich district of Tannenhausen in East Frisia , Lower Saxony .
description
The bathing lake is located in the Tannenhausen district west of Dornumer Straße. It is a former gravel pit . The lake is used intensively as a local recreation area, and there is a holiday home area right on the lake. The classification of bathing water quality has shown good values since 1994 and consistently very good values after 2002 according to the applicable European guidelines.
There is a public bathing beach with several restaurants and a water ski lift in the northern part of the lake .
On the opposite eastern side of Dornumer Straße there is a second quarry pond of about the same size.
