The Badisches Schulmuseum is a school museum in the Waldensian School in the Palmbach district of Karlsruhe . It is operated by the Badisches Schulmuseum Karlsruhe eV association.

The museum was founded in 1988 as the "Karlsruhe School Museum" as a non-profit association and until 1992 was located in the Friedrich Realschule and the Tullaschule Karlsruhe. Then it moved to the primary and secondary school in Grötzingen and the primary school in Karlsruhe- Grünwinkel . In 2014 it found its current location in the vacant primary school in the Palmbach district.

It shows collections of learning and work equipment, animal preparations and technology on three floors. "History lessons" are also offered. In addition to the exhibits from earlier decades such as school caps, technical devices or old teaching aids, school history can also be experienced through numerous activities. In addition to the subjects of school and religion, there are also exhibits on the history of Palmbach and the Waldensians in the exhibition room . In 2016 an old teacher's apartment "anno 1900" was completed.

The painting “Palmbacher Märchenwelt” from 1929 by the well-known German painter and graphic artist Hans Fischer-Schuppach shows numerous details from fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm.

These are supplemented by various animals and insects, invented plant shapes, striking Palmbach buildings such as the church and town hall, as well as numerous small and large human figures. At that time, Palmbach students from grades 3 to 8 were immortalized in all human figures in the picture . The students had to individually model the artist and were inserted into the fairy tale world. The old mural was only rediscovered and uncovered in 2014 .

The school museum is open regularly. The museum is open for groups (school classes, club and company outings, class reunions) by appointment.
