Grünwinkel is a district in the southwest of Karlsruhe .

During the Roman period there was a vicus in Grünwinkel . On the edge of this settlement, three brick kilns and one pottery kiln were uncovered here from 1922 to 1927, which were probably in operation from the end of the 1st century AD to the end of the 2nd century.

First evidence goes back to the 15th century , the place was called Krähwinkel. The village and customs station were founded in 1710 and incorporated into Karlsruhe in 1909.
