Rintheim is a district of the Baden-Württemberg city of Karlsruhe . It is located between Hagsfeld in the north, Oststadt in the west and the A5 in the east.
The Karlsruhe Technology Park, a center for internet and high-tech companies, is located in Rintheim.
history
Rintheim was first mentioned in a document on August 15, 1110 as "Rintdan". In 1275 the place became the property of the Gottesaue monastery , after 1451 it was administered by Durlach . A town hall was set up in Rintheim in 1749 and a school in 1770, which moved into a new schoolhouse in 1827.
On November 5, 1871, the Protestant church was opened after a year of construction. Before that, the majority Protestant population had to attend the service in neighboring Hagsfeld .
On January 1, 1907, Rintheim was incorporated into Karlsruhe.
Economy and Infrastructure
Rintheim has a tram connection and is bounded in the east by federal motorway 5 . There is a primary school, a primary and secondary school, a secondary school and the school on Weinweg, a school for the visually impaired, and a kindergarten in the village.
Rintheim is divided into three parts: Altrintheim , Neurintheim and Rintheimer Feld .
The technology park , the wholesale market and Mann Mobilia belong to Rintheim.
