Badminton Association Rhineland

The Badminton Association Rhineland , or BVR for short , was founded on March 31, 1957 in Koblenz-Oberwerth on the premises of the Rhineland Sports Association. Founding members were associations from Unkel , Linz , Bad Kreuznach , Mayen , Neuwied and Trier . The founding chairman was Dr. Karl Maurer (Post Sports Club Bad Kreuznach).

Club activity

The BVR is based in Neuwied . The association is registered with the number VR 10668 in the register of associations of the Montabaur district court. The office is in Unkel . In addition to the regional badminton associations Saarland, Rheinhessen-Pfalz, Hessen and Thuringia, the Badminton Association Rhineland belongs to the "Group Middle" of the German Badminton Association . In the senior area there is the Rhineland Team Championship (RMM), in the youth area the Mini Team Championship (MMM). In addition, the Rhineland Leisure Team Championship (RFMM) was introduced for recreational and hobby players. Since the beginning of August 2007, the BVR has been running its own badminton results service called BaROS (Badminton Results Online Service). Initially, only the senior teams were recorded; since the end of August 2007, the results of the youth relay teams have also been managed. In January 2008, the Rhineland Championship for leisure teams was also integrated into the BaROS results service. The Rhineland squad, consisting of around 50 best, mainly young players, has been in existence since 2007 and is based in Remagen .
