Bagels & Beans is a Dutch franchisor of system catering operating in the Netherlands . According to press reports, the company receives an inquiry from a potential franchisee on average every day, making it one of the most popular catering franchises in the Netherlands.

Bagels and coffee specialties are mainly served in the chain's 71 branches . Bagels & Beans specifically addresses health-conscious customers and vegans .

Dutch entrepreneurs Ronald Bakker and Ninande Thio opened the first Bagels & Beans store in January 1996 in Amsterdam . After opening three further branches under the management of Bakkers and Thios, a fifth branch was opened as a franchise location in 2002. In 2016, all branches were under franchise management. There are 71 branches in the Netherlands, the only German branch was in Aachen, near the border .

The company is aiming for around 120 branches in the Netherlands and considers a total of 600 branches worldwide to be realistic. In order to increase international awareness, new branches are also to be opened at airports .
