Bagrat
Bagrat ( Armenian Բագրատ ; Georgian ბაგრატ ; Russian Баграт ) is a male given name, which is particularly common in Armenia , Georgia and Abkhazia . The name is originally derived from the Persian Bagadāta , which roughly means "gift from God". In the Middle Ages there were two important noble families with the Armenian Bagratids and the Georgian Bagratids who bore the name Bagrat.
