The Bahia class was a series of four steamers operated by the Hamburg Süd shipping company . The quartet of ships was the last series built for the shipping company before the First World War . The combined ships had extensive facilities for second-class and tween deck passengers, which vary in size from ship to ship. All four units survived the First World War, two ships were scrapped in the 1930s, one sank and the type ship was finally sunk in 1940.
Launched in Buenos Aires on August 16, 1914, bought by Argentina on April 16, 1918, Umbria in 1935, sunk in Port Sudan in June 1940, later lifted and scrapped
