  • until 1911: Berthelsdorf i Erzgeb

business

The opening of the Berthelsdorf stop took place on July 8, 1875 together with the Freiberg - Lichtenberg (Erzgeb) section of the Nossen – Moldau railway line . In 1888 the Berthelsdorf stop was connected to the paper mill in Weißenborn / Erzgeb, which opened in 1871 . placed on the Freiberg Mulde . On July 13, 1890, the secondary line Berthelsdorf – Brand – Großhartmannsdorf opened together with the branch line to Langenau (Sachs) in Brand (from 1912: Brand-Erbisdorf ) . The Berthelsdorf stop became a wedge station and it received a reception building. Due to the increased importance, the stop was given the status of a train station on May 1, 1905. The station has had its current name since 1911.

On April 1, 1946, the railway maintenance office was dissolved. After the political change in eastern Germany in 1989/90, passenger traffic on the branch lines in the direction of Brand-Erbisdorf was discontinued on June 1, 1997. After the last freight customer on this railway line gave up loading in 2012, scheduled trains in Berthelsdorf (Erzgeb) station only run between Freiberg and Holzhau. The new “Berthelsdorf (Erzgeb) Ort” stop was opened for the residents of Berthelsdorf in 2000, which means that Berthelsdorf (Erzgeb) train station continues to lose frequency. After the Freiberg paper factory in Weißenborn shifted its transports to the road in 2015, this siding is also without rail traffic.

The Berthelsdorf (Erzgeb) station has been served by Freiberg Railway trains since 2000 . The route infrastructure has been operated by RP-Eisenbahn since 2000 , the platform systems themselves will continue to be operated by DB Station & Service .

In addition to the reception building, the signal box , residential buildings, the railway maintenance office and the tracks to Brand-Erbisdorf have also been preserved.
