The Dorfgastein train station is an intermediate station of the ÖBB on the Tauern train in the province of Salzburg .

location

The train station is right in the center of Dorfgastein next to the B 167 ( Gasteiner Straße ). It is, so to speak, the “gateway” to the Tauern route.

Furnishing

The station has four through tracks, two edge platforms are built on the two outer ones.

In the renovated station building there is a waiting room and a ticket machine as well as a counter which is not manned.

Departures

The station - like the Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein stations - is only served by long-distance trains ( EuroCity , InterCity and railjet ) every two hours. There is a bus stop on the main street not far from the train station.
