The Neuilly station - Porte Maillot is a tunnel station of the Paris train network RER . It is located in the 17th arrondissement near the town of Neuilly-sur-Seine below the Place de Porte Maillot . The station is used by 7,500 to 15,000 travelers every day.
history
The station opened in 1854 as one of the Ligne d'Auteuil stations . This route was closed on January 6, 1985, so they rebuilt and part of the RER C could be. The reopening took place on 25 September 1988 instead and there was also a link to the station Porte Maillot the Metro Line 1 .
future
The extension of the RER E will probably have a stop at Porte Maillot .
The district has many jobs, but its development is hampered by the unattractive RER C and by the overcrowded Metro line 1. Metro line 1 is especially overcrowded at peak times between Porte Maillot and La Défense . The stop of the RER E will bring additional capacity and further increase the attractiveness of the district.
