The station Pétange is located in the town of Pétange in Luxembourg . There is also a CFL technics repair workshop on the site. In addition, there was a marshalling yard in Pétange , the waste mountain of which was taken out of service in 2005 and whose tracks have only been used as siding since then.

The station has two platforms and is served by RE and RB of the CFL . After Luxembourg , there is a half-hour with REs and RBs. There are also connections to Longwy , Athus , Longuyon and Metz via Differdange and Thionville .

history

The station was the operational center of the Luxembourg Prince Heinrich Railway and Ore Mine Company . The station is also the starting point of the Train 1900 museum railway to Fond-de-Gras .
