The station Rot am See is an operating agency of the railway line Crailsheim-Königshofen . It is located in Rot am See in the Schwäbisch Hall district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

On October 23, 1869, the Royal Württemberg State Railways opened the station with the Crailsheim - Mergentheim section .

The former station building is now in municipal hands and has been renovated. In the building there is still a mechanical signal box , from which the points and form signals of the station are set via double-wire cables. The building is used by the community as a youth center.

Monument protection

The former reception building is located at Bahnhofstrasse 19 and is a listed building . It is part of the totality of the railway line Bad Mergentheim – Crailsheim: Württemberg Taubertal Railway with stations, auxiliary buildings, bridges, track systems and all stationary and movable accessories.
