Scuol-Tarasp station (2018)

Scuol-Tarasp is a terminus on the Bever-Scuol-Tarasp railway line operated by the Rhaetian Railway in Scuol in the Lower Engadine .

The castle-like main building and the other high-rise buildings were built by Meinrad Lorenz in 1913 and have a loggia and a tower structure. The stairwells emerge in a semicircle.

In 2009 the protected building was renovated by the Chur architects Maurus Frei und Partner for around 21 million francs. Due to new internal RhB guidelines, special emphasis was placed on the preservation of the building fabric and cooperation with the cantonal monument protection.

Since it was planned to extend the line to Landeck , the station was created in the form of a through station . The eastern pull-out track , also known as the Tirolerstumpen , indicates the location of the planned extension. The First World War marked the end of the expansion plans.

Trains to Pontresina and Disentis / Mustér leave every hour from the train station . There are also several PostBus lines, u. a. to Austria.
