The Wengern West station is a former stop in the Ruhr Valley in the Wengern district of Wetter (Ruhr) . The Elbschetalbahn from Witten Train to the station Schwelm along the Ruhr and the Elbsche was completed in the years 1910-1934. The stopping point was put into operation on May 15, 1934. On November 30, 1979, passenger traffic on the line was stopped. After freight traffic was also stopped in 1980, the line in this section was shut down in 1983 and then dismantled.

The route runs on a railway embankment. The former service building with ticket issuance and waiting room, which is still preserved today, is on the other side of the Mühlenweg street at the foot of the embankment . Access to the railroad track was through a road tunnel, the former stairway access is bricked up. A drawing from September 1927 of the "service building with ticket issuance for the Wengern-West stop" is in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Archives .
