The Kamunting – Butterworth – Gurun railway line in Malaysia is one of the three KTM Komuter connections operated by the Keretapi Tanah Melayu railway company in the Malay States . It was opened on September 11, 2015 after the double-track expansion and electrification of the Ipoh - Padang Besar line .

The trains connect Kamunting in Perak with Gurun in Kedah and these two terminal stations via a junction with Butterworth in Pulau Pinang .

There are twelve trains a day, six from Kamunting and six from Gurun every three hours from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
