The Mercato San Severino – Sarno / Nocera Inferiore railway is located in the greater Naples area and connects the cities of Mercato San Severino and Sarno as well as San Severino and Nocera Inferiore .

history

The route was completed in two sections. The Mercato San Severino – Sarno section was opened on February 17, 1861. One year later, on May 1, 1882, the Nocera Inferiore – Codola section followed.

State of development

The line is single-track and not electrified, with the exception of the line from Nocera Inferiore to Codola. The line is only served by regional trains.
