The Perković – Šibenik railway is a main line in Croatia, which was built and operated as one of the first railway lines in Dalmatia . It branches off the Knin – Split railway line in Perković and leads to Šibenik .

history

The kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB) built the line in the years 1874 to 1877 together with the Siverić – Perković – Split section of today's Knin – Split line . As a result of the First World War , the catchment area of the line became part of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes proclaimed at the end of October 1918 ( Kingdom of Yugoslavia from 1929 ) . On this basis, this route was also incorporated into the railways of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and later into the Yugoslav State Railways . With Croatia's independence in 1991, the route was again transferred to the newly founded Hrvatske željeznice (HŽ) railway company .

business

Today (as of 2020) there are eight connections per day in each direction, the journey time is 30 minutes. A journey from Šibenik to Zagreb with a change in Knin takes 6:39 hours in the best case.
