Bai-A train

The " Bai-A-Bahn ", " Bai-A-Linie " ( Chinese  白 阿 线 , Pinyin Bai-A xian ) or " Bai-A-Eisenbahn " ( 白 阿 铁路 , Bai-A tieguo ) is the name for the railway line from the city of Baicheng ( 白城 ) in the Chinese province of Jilin to Arxan ( 阿尔山 A'ershan) in Inner Mongolia . The railway was built from 1931 to 1937 and is now a little further to the large municipality of Yirshi or Yierxie( 伊尔 施 镇 Yi'ershi) expanded. The 354 km long route leads via Ulanhot (Wulanhaote) and Wuchagou .

The train is also called “Tao-Suo-Bahn” ( 洮 索 铁路 Tao-Su tielu) or “Tao-Du-Bahn” ( 洮 杜 铁路 Tao-Du tielu). Their destination was the Arxan minefield ( 阿尔山 矿区 A'ershan kuangqu), their starting point was the Baicheng train station (Baicheng Zhan 白城 站 ).
