Bajanchongor ( Mongolian Баянхонгор ) is the capital of the Mongolian aimag Bajanchongor in the southwest of the country.

The city was founded in 1941.

The city has a small airport (BYN / ZMBH) with one paved and one unpaved runway, from which planes regularly operate between the capital Ulaanbaatar and Bajanchongor. Buses run three times a day from Bajanchongor to Ulaanbaatar.
