The Bakacak Dam ( Turkish Bakacak Barajı ) is located on the Kocaçay River (İpkaiye Çayı), a tributary of the Biga Çayı , in the Çanakkale Province in northwestern Turkey .
The dam, 25 km west of the city of Biga , was built in 1991-2000 for the purpose of irrigation. The barrier structure is a 50 m (above valley floor) high stone embankment dam with a clay core . The dam volume is 2.2 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 7.74 km² and has a storage volume of 136 million m³. The dam is designed for the irrigation of an area of 9,000 hectares.
