Kateryna Wassyliwna Bilokur ( Ukrainian Катерина Василівна Білокур ; born November 24, jul. / 7. December  1900 greg. , Village Bohdaniwka , Ujesd Pyriatyn , Poltava Governorate ; † 10. June 1961 , village Bohdaniwka , Yahotyn Raion , Kiev Oblast ) was a Ukrainian Artist and master of fine folk painting , representative of naive art .

In the National Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art in Kiev , part of the Kiev- Pechersk Lavra , there is a collection of her pictures, including the floral still life Flowers on the fence "Квіти за тином" (1935), Flowers and Kalina "Квітах та калині" (1940) , Wild flowers “Польові квіти” (1940), Lotta “Буйна” (1944–1947) and decorative flowers “Декоративні квіти” (1945).

In June and July 2015, a retrospective of the work of Kateryna Bilokur took place in the national cultural, art and museum complex “Art Arsenal” in Kiev .

Honors

  • In 1951 she was awarded the medal with the associated title "Honored Artist of Ukraine".
  • In 1956 she was honored as a People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR .
  • In Kiev, Kateryna Bilokur Street is named after her.
  • On her 100th birthday in 2000, an official 2- hryvnia coin of Ukraine was minted in her honor and a stamp was issued.
  • There is a monument to the artist in Jahotyn .
  • The artist's museum has been located in her home in Bohdaniwka since 1977.
