A Balance Board (English for:. Balance board ) is a sports device for training the sense of balance and athletic training for windsurfers , surfers , kite surfers and snowboarders , as well as sports therapy is used purposes.

The balance board consists either of two non-connected parts, the board and an elongated roller or ball on which the board is balanced using the body, or of a circular board with a fixed hemisphere on the underside. Higher movement speeds and thus higher demands on the neuromuscular system bring devices in which the ball, which is located under the base, is rotatably mounted and moves in place. This minimizes inertia and requires faster muscle activation to maintain balance. By balancing , various exercises performed on the device train different muscle groups in the body as well as the sense of balance and coordination skills.
