The complex Balatukan Volcano (also known by the names Balingoan and Balatocan) is located between the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Butuan in the Misamis Oriental Province on the north coast of the Philippine island of Mindanao .
The lava flows on its flanks are from the Pleistocene , and the volcano is severely eroded. Some fumaroles suggest that the Balatukan was not extinct, but there are no scientifically proven data about an outbreak or the last eruption.
The area around the volcano was declared a Mount Balatukan Range Natural Park in 2007 .
