The Mount Balatukan Range Natural Park is a natural park on the Philippines . It lies on the territory of the municipalities of Gingoog City , Balingasag , Claveria and Medina in the Misamis Oriental Province . It was established on March 6, 2007 when Presidential Decree 1249 came into force.
The core zone of the nature park covers an area of 8,423 hectares and a buffer zone of 1,222 hectares in the mountains of the 2,450 meter high Balatukan volcano . The nature reserve includes a variety of terrestrial ecosystems such as the tropical rainforests . The center of the nature reserve includes the headwaters of the Kihangad River. The administration is subordinate to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
