Baldovino Dassu (born November 3, 1952 in Florence ) is an Italian professional golfer on the European Seniors Tour .

Career

Dassu won the British Youths Open Amateur Championship in 1970 , played for the Italian team at the Eisenhower Trophy that year and became a professional golfer in 1971 .

In the same year Dassu succeeded - at the Swiss Open in the Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre - with a round of 60 strokes, to set up a best performance in professional European tournaments. This record was only beaten in 2006 by Frenchman Adrien Mörk with 59 strokes.

From 1972 he played on the then founded European Tour . His best year was 1976, when Dassu recorded his two title wins within two weeks and finished the season ninth on the money list. From the mid- 1980s Dassu could no longer achieve sufficient results and left the tournament series after the 1987 season.

For Italy he competed twice in the Dunhill Cup and four times in the World Cup .

Dassu tried his hand at the European Seniors Tour in the 2003 season and finished 26th in the annual ranking.
