Ballade pour Adeline ( French for 'Ballade for Adeline') is an instrumental piece of music (according to the publication Sonata ) by Richard Clayderman , composed by Paul de Senneville and Olivier Toussaint , which Senneville dedicated to his daughter of the same name, who was just born.

history

Senneville and Toussaint, who ran the “Delphine” record company in Paris, were looking for an interpreter for the piece. After a casting , they decided on the then 23-year-old pianist Philippe Pagès, whom they gave the stage name Richard Clayderman . Clayderman performed the piece and it was released on phonograms .

The piece became a million seller and started Clayderman's global career. Ballade pour Adeline was also the theme song for the Filipino show Lovingly Yours, Helen on GMA Network (1983-1996). The piece was also used as an introductory piece in the trailer and film music in the film Tschick . A new version of the song was released in 2007.
