The Ballester-Molina (also known as HAFDASA , after the abbreviation of the manufacturer Hispano-Argentina Fábrica de Automóviles SA) is a semi-automatic Argentine pistol in .45 ACP caliber , whose design is based on the Colt M1911 pistol . The serial number is on the right side of the housing above the trigger and the following engraved inscription is on the left side of the slide:
