The Ballet Frankfurt was up to the end of the season 2003 / 2004 the ballet division of the Municipal Theater Frankfurt .
history
The Frankfurt Ballet was founded in 1963 . When his leaders were u. a. John Neumeier (1969–1973), Alfonso Catà (1973–1976), Egon Madsen (1981–1984). From the season 1984 / 1985 was William Forsythe 's artistic director and later director. After the ballet division was discontinued in 2004 , the repertoire and many of the employees were transferred to the newly founded private Forsythe Company .
Venues
The stages of the Frankfurt Opera , the Frankfurt Schauspiel and the Bockenheimer Depot served as venues .
